Many organisations have existing business continuity plans and emergency response procedures, but in the majority of cases these have never been tested. Where tests have taken place, key staff have often changed position or left the organisation since the last test.

Continuity Planning design and deliver bespoke crisis simulation packages which will test the effectiveness of your existing plans. As we are independent we have the benefit of providing a truly objective assessment. This is reflected in our scenario planning and exercise design. We draw on our experience of exercise design to ensure that our crisis simulation exercises are realistic and challenging.

Depending on your requirements, our staff will conduct the exercise, leading you through the crisis simulation and monitoring and evaluating the response of your staff to crisis. This enables us to deliver a post-exercise report identifying organisational strengths and weaknesses, in particular evaluating emergency response and continuity plans. We also provide recommendations for future improvements to the business continuity plan.

Crisis simulation exercises not only test existing plans but also ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities.  Effective simulations have the added benefit of improving teamwork, leadership and decision making abilities.
